New Street Bar & Grill in Petworth will be rebranding to E. Street Bar & Grill. This is in response to news that another London based restaurant chain, who operate a restaurant near Liverpool Street, called New Street Gill, own a trademark on the words ‘New Street’ in relation to food and beverage outlets. The stylish Petworth restaurant will continue to champion local provenance, offering guests an exceptional seasonal menu using the highest quality local ingredients and supporting neighbouring businesses.


Bar Manager / Supervisor

We’re looking for a full-time Bar Manager / Supervisor to join our team at E Street Bar and Grill. You should be outgoing and demonstrate a friendly and professional approach to this role. We are looking for someone who is confident to take the lead in welcoming guests and enhancing their experience by delivering great guest service. You should be comfortable with giving direction to staff whilst on duty and supporting the team with training and development. A passion for cocktails and wine experience is essential.

This role will include answering the phone, taking restaurant reservations and responding to private dining enquiries. You will also need to create function sheets and menus. You will possess good IT skills and have a keen attention to detail.

This role will be working 5 days, including weekends and evenings. Previous experience is preferred; however, additional training and support will be given to the right candidate.

Waiting Staff

We’re looking for full time and part-time waiting staff team member to join our team at E Street Bar and Grill. You must be a cheerful yet professional character who enjoys looking after guests and making their dining experience special.

You will have a good basic knowledge of food and wine but above all be passionate about the industry and be keen to learn more from the training we provide. The role will include evenings and weekends. Previous relevant experience is preferred; however, full training will be given to the right candidate. You must be well organised, well presented and know that customer service counts for everything in hospitality.

Sous Chef

itchen Brigade from the front. You will have at least 3 years’ experience in a Sous Chef rolein a quality establishment, be passionate about cooking with fresh ingredients. Capable of running a busy kitchen on the Head Chef’s day off calmly & confidently. We pride ourselves onserving only the best local produce cooked traditionally to the highest standard.

Commis Chef

We’re looking for a talented & energetic chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll work closely with a committed & experienced team. You will have demonstrable experience of working in busy kitchens working with fresh ingredients & will have passion & flair for cooking. Willing to learn, you must be proactive, able to communicate clearly with everyone in the team & have good attention to detail along with high standards.

Kitchen Porter

Working with the team of chefs, your role is to ensure all restaurant dishes and kitchen utensils are cleaned, as well as larger items of kitchen equipment and the food production areas. Your role is key in helping to maintain high levels of service and assist with the smooth running of the kitchen. There will be opportunity to grow with the role if you show enthusiasm and the talent. You need to be hard working, a team player, possess attention to detail and pride in everything you do.
