E. Street Bar & Grill

Petworth, West Sussex

New Street Bar & Grill in Petworth will be rebranding to E. Street Bar & Grill. This is in response to news that another London based restaurant chain, who operate a restaurant near Liverpool Street, called New Street Gill, own a trademark on the words ‘New Street’ in relation to food and beverage outlets. The stylish Petworth restaurant will continue to champion local provenance, offering guests an exceptional seasonal menu using the highest quality local ingredients and supporting neighbouring businesses.

Supper Club - An evening with Jon Nicholson

We are delighted to announce that photographer Jon Nicholson will be the guest speaker at our next supper club event on 23rd May. This is a rare opportunity to meet the inspirational man behind the lens and listen to his story never told before.

Jon was the “the man behind the scenes” in sport which granted him access to top sports personalities including Ayrton Senna whom he photographed the day before he died 25 years ago on May 1st. This photograph forms part of his exhibition “Pausing for breath. A retrospective” held at Augustus Brandt In Petworth from 14th June and is the first time Jon’s work has been collected in one place and available to buy.

Jon’s work reflects the man; passionate, brave, deeply emotional, intensely human and above all honest. Jon is an engaging speaker who will reach out to you in a wonderfully surprising way.

After his talk, Jon will join guests for a four course meal with a menu created by our Head Chef and wines carefully selected by our expert sommelier who will lead the remainder of the event.

Hot smoked salmon croquette, verbena dressing

Charred mackerel fillet, maple pickled cockles, escabeche garnish

Marinated lamb rump, shoulder pastille, smoked tomato and broad bean salsa, pea puree, rhubarb relish, minted jus

Raspberry genoise, champagne Sabayon

Advance bookings are required for the evening at £65 per person and limited places are available.

The price will include 4 glasses of wine, 2 of which will be sponsored by the Sommelier’s company Berkmann.
